Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Electrician – Mining Heavy Machinery Maintenance to support the electrical maintenance and reliability of heavy mining and quarrying equipment in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced industrial electricians with strong knowledge of electrical systems, heavy machinery, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair in demanding mining or cement plant environments.
SENIOR ELECTRICIAN – MINING HEAVY MACHINERY MAINTENANCE
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrician, Heavy Equipment Electrician, Mining Electrician, or Industrial Electrician.
- Strong experience in electrical maintenance of mining, quarrying, construction, or other heavy machinery.
- Good knowledge of heavy equipment electrical systems, motors, control panels, starters, sensors, wiring, batteries, charging systems, and control circuits.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documents.
- Experience providing technical guidance or leading electricians during heavy equipment maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and safe working practices.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding mining, quarrying, or cement plant environment.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, technically capable, and able to work effectively with mechanical and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee electrical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of heavy mining and quarrying machinery.
- Inspect electrical systems and components of excavators, loaders, crushers, drilling equipment, haul trucks, conveyors, and other heavy machinery.
- Diagnose electrical faults involving motors, starters, control panels, sensors, wiring, batteries, charging systems, and control circuits.
- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance according to established schedules, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, lighting systems, instrumentation, and other electrical components installed on heavy equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and measurements using appropriate diagnostic tools and test instruments.
- Inspect cables, connectors, terminals, switches, relays, fuses, contactors, and other electrical components for damage, wear, or malfunction.
- Assist with installation, replacement, wiring, modification, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems on heavy machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential electrical failures to minimize unexpected breakdowns and operational downtime.
- Coordinate with mechanics, equipment operators, maintenance supervisors, engineers, and other personnel to resolve machinery-related electrical problems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and maintenance personnel during complex troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Assist with planned shutdowns, major equipment inspections, overhauls, component replacements, and electrical maintenance projects.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, faults, repairs, testing results, maintenance activities, and spare parts used.
- Ensure electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments are properly maintained and safely operated.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, electrical safety standards, and heavy equipment safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain good housekeeping in maintenance and equipment work areas.
- Perform other electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical duties assigned by management.
