SAFETY OFFICER
Qualifications:
- Strong background in airside and landside safety, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, and active runway safety protocols.
- Thorough knowledge of international safety management systems, including OSHA, ISO, and Japanese construction safety practices.
- Proven experience conducting specialized risk assessments for heavy civil construction projects and managing strict permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent English communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with airport authorities, contractors, and project teams.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and regular safety briefings.
- Preferably not more than 50 years old.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs for airport construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project safety requirements, and international safety standards, including OSHA and ISO guidelines.
- Monitor and enforce airside and landside safety procedures, including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and active runway safety protocols.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and implement appropriate control measures for heavy civil construction activities.
- Administer and monitor permit-to-work systems to ensure high-risk activities are performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for project personnel.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with airport authorities, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe execution of construction activities within airport operational areas.
- Prepare safety reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation while promoting a strong safety culture across the project.
