Rough Carpenter

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be 42 years old or below.
• At least three (3) to five (5) years of overseas work experience in rough carpentry or a related construction position.
• Hands-on experience in formwork installation, structural framing, and partition installation.
• Practical knowledge of carpentry methods, construction materials, and site preparation procedures.
• Ability to measure, mark, cut, assemble, and install timber and other construction materials accurately.
• Familiarity with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Ability to read and follow construction drawings, measurements, and technical instructions.
• Previous overseas work experience in Guam, Japan, the Middle East, or any U.S. island territory is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
• Stable and verifiable employment history.
• Willingness to take and pass an English proficiency test, with a minimum score of IELTS 4.0 or PTE 29.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rough carpentry work on residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
• Construct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, including foundations, columns, beams, walls, and slabs.
• Carry out structural framing work, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber or other framing materials.
• Install wall partitions, internal framing, and other building components according to construction plans and specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, and fit materials to the required dimensions using appropriate carpentry tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and layout instructions.
• Check measurements, alignment, levels, and structural positioning to ensure accuracy and proper installation.
• Select and prepare appropriate materials for assigned carpentry tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with concrete preparation and related construction activities when required.
• Inspect completed work and make necessary adjustments to meet project specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow construction site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers to complete tasks according to project schedules.
• Perform other related rough carpentry and construction duties as assigned.
