Rotating Specialist

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience as a Rotating Specialist, Rotating Equipment Technician, or in a related mechanical maintenance position.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer Plants, Refineries, Chemical Plants, or similar industrial facilities.
• Must be capable of performing routine maintenance and repair work involving rotating equipment.
• Must have strong practical knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery.
• Must understand mechanical equipment dismantling, inspection, repair, assembly, and alignment procedures.
• Experience with equipment overhauls, shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and troubleshooting is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of shaft alignment, vibration, bearings, mechanical seals, couplings, lubrication systems, and rotating equipment reliability is an advantage.
• Must be familiar with industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and safe maintenance practices.
• Must be physically capable of working in demanding industrial and plant environments.
• Must be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of rotating equipment.
• Maintain and service equipment such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and safe operation.
• Diagnose mechanical problems involving bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, gears, impellers, and other rotating components.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace, and reassemble rotating equipment and components.
• Perform equipment alignment using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect equipment for abnormal vibration, noise, overheating, leakage, wear, and other signs of mechanical failure.
• Assist with equipment overhaul, shutdown, turnaround, commissioning, and recommissioning activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work related to rotating machinery and associated mechanical systems.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and specialized maintenance equipment.
• Conduct testing and operational checks following maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, equipment condition, and replaced components.
• Coordinate with mechanical technicians, engineers, operations personnel, and supervisors to complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Follow established maintenance procedures, permit-to-work systems, safety requirements, and industrial standards.
