Blanche River Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its healthcare team in Canada. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals with recent experience in Emergency Room (ER) and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings, strong clinical skills, and the required nursing education, licensure examination, and certifications.
REGISTERED NURSE
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Room (ER) and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Passed NCLEX-RN.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS Nursing) graduate.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards.
- Assess patients’ conditions, monitor vital signs, and promptly identify changes in health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patients for responses or adverse reactions.
Provide nursing care to patients in Emergency Room (ER) and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings. - Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations and provide timely clinical interventions.
- Monitor critically ill or unstable patients and promptly communicate significant changes to physicians and the healthcare team.
- Perform nursing procedures and maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and appropriate health practices.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
- Maintain and demonstrate competency in emergency response and life-support procedures.
- Participate in patient discharge planning, continuity of care, and appropriate referrals when required.
- Maintain professional nursing standards and comply with applicable healthcare regulations.
- Perform other nursing duties assigned by the healthcare facility.
