QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER (Process Controller)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, including 3–5 years in Quality Control within an LSAW pipe manufacturing facility or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of API 5L, ISO 9001, welding processes, manufacturing quality control, and inspection requirements.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), quality tools, and continuous process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality procedures, and manufacturing documents.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is preferred.
• NDT Level II certification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements.
• Verify process parameters throughout pipe manufacturing, including forming, welding, expansion, hydrotesting, coating, and finishing operations.
• Coordinate with Production personnel and QC Inspectors to identify, investigate, and resolve process-related quality issues.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring quality concerns and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Review production, inspection, and quality records to verify process compliance and product traceability.
• Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Prepare quality reports, process performance records, and documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, API 5L standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and company quality management procedures.
• Participate in internal quality audits, customer inspections, and external audits as required.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and process control records.
• Work with cross-functional teams to reduce process-related defects, rework, and production downtime.
• Perform other temporary or permanent duties assigned by supervisors.
