PTW (Permit to Work) Officer

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Permit to Work systems, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of PTW procedures, job safety analysis (JSA), and risk assessment processes.
• Familiarity with international HSE standards and Saudi Arabian safety regulations.
• Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• PTW or HSE-related certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and control the Permit to Work (PTW) system for all applicable site activities.
• Review, verify, issue, and close work permits such as hot work, cold work, confined space, working at height, excavation, and electrical permits.
• Ensure all required risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety controls are in place before permit approval.
• Coordinate with HSE, operations, maintenance, and construction teams to ensure safe work execution.
• Conduct field verification to confirm permit conditions and safety requirements are being followed.
• Suspend or cancel permits when unsafe conditions or violations are identified.
• Maintain accurate PTW records, logs, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations related to PTW activities.
