Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong expertise in injection molding and manufacturing processes to work in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing injection molding processes, supporting mold tooling and design, troubleshooting production issues, and improving manufacturing efficiency, quality, and consistency. The position is suited to professionals currently working in the Injection Molding Industry or Medical Devices Manufacturing sector.

PROCESS ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Must have very good knowledge of injection mold tooling and design.
• Must have strong expertise in injection molding, including standard and multi-component processes.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processing, ancillary equipment, and automation systems.
• Must be currently working in the Injection Molding Industry or Medical Devices Manufacturing sector, such as the production of syringes, hearing aids, or similar precision medical products.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must currently be employed in the Injection Molding Industry.
• Strong understanding of injection molding machine operation, process parameters, tooling, materials, and production controls.
• Knowledge of mold design, mold trials, tooling modifications, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and correcting process-related defects.
• Experience with process optimization, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to work effectively with tooling, automation, production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality, process stability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Good technical communication and documentation skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Must hold a valid passport and be ready for deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain injection molding processes to achieve consistent product quality and production efficiency.
• Apply advanced knowledge of injection mold tooling and design to support manufacturing and process improvement activities.
• Manage and troubleshoot standard injection molding and multi-component injection molding processes.
• Set, monitor, and optimize injection molding machine parameters to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
• Analyze molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, dimensional variation, burn marks, and other process-related issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring production problems.
• Evaluate and optimize molding cycle times, material usage, machine settings, cooling, and other process parameters.
• Work closely with toolmakers and engineering teams on mold design, tooling modifications, mold trials, and process improvements.
• Assess mold performance and identify tooling-related issues that may affect production quality or efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and optimize ancillary equipment used in injection molding operations.
• Work with automation systems integrated into injection molding and manufacturing processes.
• Support the installation, commissioning, validation, and optimization of new molding equipment, tooling, and automated systems.
• Conduct process trials and document results to establish stable and repeatable manufacturing conditions.
• Monitor production processes and use data and technical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, machine settings, and technical records.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, tooling, automation, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, reducing waste, minimizing downtime, and maintaining product quality.
• Ensure injection molding processes comply with applicable quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
• Where applicable, support manufacturing processes for medical device products such as syringes, hearing aids, and other precision components.
• Assist with process qualification, validation, and production readiness activities when required.
• Maintain accurate records of process changes, trials, improvements, troubleshooting activities, and production performance.
• Perform other process engineering, injection molding, tooling, and manufacturing duties assigned by management.
