Process Control Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in any of the following disciplines:
  • Automation Engineering
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Other related engineering disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Approximately 10–15 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation and Control Engineering within the petrochemical, chemical, oil and gas industries for Engineer-level positions.
• Senior Engineer and Lead-level positions require 10 or more years of applicable experience, depending on the position.
• Knowledge of industrial control equipment and systems, including:
  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
  • Field instrumentation
  • Industrial communication devices and protocols
• Proficient in applicable oil and gas industry codes and standards, including API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, and IEEE.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management, Management of Change, HAZOP, and LOPA processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple functions.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in plant Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including the Management of Change (MOC) process and associated hazard reviews.
• Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies, including follow-up and implementation of assigned actions.
• Evaluate new process schemes and designs to determine their technical merit, feasibility, and suitability for plant operations.
• Troubleshoot process control system issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Monitor control systems and supporting applications to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• Plan and support preventive maintenance activities to keep control systems operating at optimal performance.
• Support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of industrial automation and instrumentation systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and safety requirements.
