PIPING FOREMAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Must have experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plants.
• Demonstrated experience supervising piping construction, fabrication, or installation activities.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and construction schematics.
• Knowledge of piping materials, mill test certificates, heat number verification, pipe schedules, and wall thickness requirements.
• Familiarity with spool erection, piping alignment, pipe supports, and flange bolting.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction quality standards and workplace safety procedures.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Male applicants are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily activities of pipefitters, welders, and laborers, assign tasks, and monitor workforce productivity.
• Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and construction schematics.
• Coordinate piping fabrication, spool erection, and installation activities according to project schedules and specifications.
• Oversee above-ground and underground piping and utility installation.
• Ensure correct pipe alignment, support installation, joint assembly, and flange bolting.
• Inspect piping materials and components to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Check mill test certificates (MTCs), heat numbers, pipe wall thicknesses, schedules, and applicable material specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, quality control inspectors, welding personnel, and other construction teams to resolve worksite issues.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure piping work complies with approved drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report work progress, material requirements, manpower needs, and construction concerns to the supervisor.
• Identify installation problems and coordinate corrective actions to maintain project quality and schedule.
