PIPE WELDER

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who were already interviewed last month are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who were previously selected may also apply, provided they are willing to retake the required trade test.
  • Must be willing to comply with the employer’s welding assessment and trade-test requirements.
  • Relevant experience in pipe welding and knowledge of proper welding procedures are an advantage.
  • Able to follow welding specifications, safety procedures, and project instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pipe welding according to approved welding procedures, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Prepare, fit, align, and weld pipes and related components.
  • Inspect pipe joints and welds to ensure proper quality and workmanship.
  • Read and interpret welding drawings, plans, symbols, and specifications.
  • Select and operate appropriate welding equipment, tools, and consumables.
  • Perform welding work using the required welding processes and techniques.
  • Clean and prepare pipe surfaces and joints before and after welding.
  • Identify and correct welding defects or imperfections when required.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and proper welding practices.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and usable condition.
  • Coordinate with fitters, welders, supervisors, and other project personnel.
  • Perform other duties related to pipe welding as assigned.
