PASTRY CHEF

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience
• With good English communication skills
• With experience working as a pastry chef, baker, or in a similar role is often required

Responsibilities:

• Develop new recipes and update existing ones for a wide variety of baked goods, including desserts, breads, and confections.
• Bake and decorate a wide range of products, from daily offerings to elaborate custom cakes and pastries.
• Oversee the pastry station, monitor stock levels, order ingredients, and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the area.
• Train and mentor junior pastry staff and assistants, delegating tasks and ensuring they follow procedures and standards.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation. This includes a strong understanding of baking science and precise techniques.
• Work with other chefs, such as the executive and sous chefs, to ensure the overall success of the kitchen and to plan menus for events.
