Anker Grupa d.o.o. is seeking a qualified and experienced Hotel Gardener to maintain and care for hotel gardens, lawns, landscaped areas, and outdoor facilities in Croatia. The successful candidate will be responsible for regular gardening, landscaping, planting, pruning, mowing, watering, and general grounds maintenance while ensuring that hotel surroundings remain clean, attractive, safe, and well-maintained.

HOTEL GARDENER

Qualifications:

• Male, 23–45 years old.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, lawn maintenance, groundskeeping, or a similar role.
• Experienced in maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
• Skilled in watering, pruning, mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and general garden upkeep.
• Knowledge of basic plant care, soil preparation, fertilization, and landscaping practices.
• Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor gardening and grounds-maintenance work.
• Able to safely operate and handle gardening tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other related equipment.
• Able to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and attractive hotel grounds.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to follow instructions, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to work in a hotel environment and maintain professional standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain hotel gardens, lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and landscaped outdoor areas.
• Perform regular mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and other lawn maintenance activities.
• Water plants, lawns, flowers, trees, and shrubs according to their maintenance requirements.
• Plant flowers, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping materials.
• Prepare soil, planting beds, and garden areas for new plants and landscaping projects.
• Remove weeds, dead plants, fallen leaves, branches, and other garden debris.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamental plants to maintain their appearance and healthy growth.
• Monitor plants and landscaped areas for pests, diseases, damage, or other conditions requiring attention.
• Apply fertilizers, soil treatments, and approved garden care products as instructed.
• Maintain garden paths, outdoor decorative areas, and other hotel grounds.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping and garden preparation activities.
• Use gardening tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, pruning equipment, watering systems, and other grounds-maintenance equipment safely.
• Conduct basic cleaning and routine care of gardening tools and equipment.
• Report damaged plants, irrigation problems, equipment defects, or other maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
• Keep gardening tools, materials, and work areas clean, organized, and properly stored.
• Ensure hotel grounds are presentable and free from unnecessary debris and hazards.
• Follow proper safety procedures when operating gardening equipment and handling fertilizers or other garden-care products.
• Follow hotel policies and applicable environmental and workplace safety standards.
• Coordinate with hotel maintenance and other staff when landscaping or grounds-related assistance is required.
• Perform other gardening, landscaping, and hotel grounds-maintenance duties assigned by management.
