PASTRY CHEF

Qualifications:

• Male or Female.
• Below 40 years old.
• At least 3 years of related experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar pastry position.
• Experienced in preparing pastries, desserts, cakes, baked goods, and other pastry products.
• Good knowledge of basic and advanced pastry preparation techniques.
• Skilled in measuring, mixing, baking, decorating, and finishing pastry products.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency.
• Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing the duties required in a professional pastry kitchen.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and willing to follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, cookies, and other baked products according to established recipes and standards.
• Handle daily pastry preparation, including measuring, mixing, kneading, shaping, baking, decorating, and finishing.
• Ensure proper quality, taste, texture, appearance, and consistency of all pastry products.
• Prepare ingredients and complete daily mise en place for pastry production.
• Follow recipes, production schedules, baking times, and temperature requirements accurately.
• Decorate and present pastries and desserts attractively and consistently.
• Monitor baking and cooking processes to prevent undercooking, overcooking, or product defects.
• Maintain proper portioning and minimize ingredient and food waste.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Properly store and label pastry ingredients and prepared products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry workstations, ovens, mixers, utensils, and other equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Ensure pastry equipment and tools are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of pastry orders.
• Assist in developing or improving pastry products and presentation when required.
• Monitor inventory of pastry ingredients and inform supervisors of items that need replenishment.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining product quality and consistency.
• Follow workplace safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other pastry-related duties assigned by the chef or management.
