CAS Recruitment Ltd – Greek Branch is seeking qualified and experienced Overhead Power Line Technicians for an overseas employment opportunity in Greece.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of overhead electrical distribution and transmission power lines. The position involves working at heights, climbing utility poles, handling electrical line equipment, and following strict electrical and occupational safety procedures.

OVERHEAD POWER LINE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in overhead power line construction, maintenance, or electrical utility work.
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution and transmission power lines.
• Ability to safely climb utility poles and work at heights.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, transformers, insulators, conductors, and related equipment.
• Skilled in using line-worker tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, line diagrams, and work plans.
• Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous outdoor work.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license is an advantage.
• Certification in Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR, or Electrical Safety is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call during emergencies.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• English communication skills are a must.
• At least a High School graduate.
• Must have a newly renewed passport.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair overhead electrical distribution and transmission lines.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of utility poles, conductors, insulators, transformers, and related power line equipment.
• Perform inspections to identify damaged, worn, or defective components.
• Repair or replace electrical line components as required.
• Climb utility poles and work safely at heights using approved equipment and procedures.
• Use appropriate line-worker tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow approved procedures when working near energized or potentially energized electrical systems.
• Assist with electrical utility construction and power line installation projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, line diagrams, work plans, and technical instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on overhead power systems.
• Identify potential electrical and worksite hazards before and during operations.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety requirements.
• Maintain safe work zones around utility and construction activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, electricians, line workers, and other project personnel.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Participate in overtime, weekend work, or emergency/on-call assignments when required.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Report equipment defects, hazards, and technical problems to supervisors.
• Perform other power line construction and maintenance duties as assigned.

Salary Package:

• Salary starts at € 1,200 gross monthly.
• Forty-two (40) working hours / Five (5) days a week.
• Accommodation will be provided.
• Contract duration is for 1 year.
