MERCHANDISING MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Experience across the telecom, fashion and sportswear, and FMCG industries.
• Analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience in Price management.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for overseeing a team of buyers.
• Multi-faceted experience across the telecom, fashion and sportswear, and FMCG industries.
• Product selection: Researching and analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to decide which products to purchase.
• Supplier management: Sourcing potential vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
• Inventory control: Monitoring stock levels, forecasting demand, and placing orders to maintain an optimal inventory without excess stock.
• Strategic planning: Developing and implementing buying strategies that align with the company’s objectives, budget, and brand goals.
• Collaboration: Working with other teams, such as sales, marketing, and merchandising, to ensure promotions and product placement align with the buying strategy.
• Reporting: Preparing reports on purchasing activities and product performance to inform future decisions.
