MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering (Mechanical) or similar fields.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial utility systems.
- Good troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting mechanical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical production equipment such as extruders, fryers, seasoning machines, dryers, conveyors, mixers, ovens, poppers, and packaging machines.
- Maintain and repair utility equipment including boilers, chillers, air compressors, AHUs, and water treatment systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure reliable operation.
- Adjust and calibrate mechanical equipment according to production requirements and safety standards.
- Inspect, repair, and replace defective components such as bearings, belts, gears, and other mechanical parts.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure proper equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate mechanical issues, repairs, and equipment conditions to the appropriate team.
