Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies Co. Ltd. (AWPT) is seeking experienced and skilled Mechanical Technicians for deployment to Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment used in sewage treatment plants and desalination facilities.

Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience is required.
  • Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Engineering or related technical fields.
  • Must have experience in water technologies industries and desalination plants.
  • Skilled in performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance for mechanical equipment and systems within sewage treatment plants (STPs).
  • Strong expertise in maintenance, dismantling, and installation of various pumps and mechanical equipment used in sewage treatment facilities.
  • Experience in equipment inspection, fault diagnosis, repair activities, and refurbishment of major mechanical components.
  • Good communication skills in English or Arabic.
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or within a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems within sewage treatment and desalination plants.
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and refurbish pumps, motors, valves, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct dismantling, installation, and alignment of mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and restore equipment functionality with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities or major mechanical issues promptly.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and maintenance procedures accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, operational standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams regarding maintenance schedules and technical concerns.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and service documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness, proper handling of tools, and organization of work areas at all times.
