Job Location: Australia

Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking a skilled Marine Motor Mechanic with extensive experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing inboard and outboard marine engines. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical and electrical marine systems, with hands-on experience on a variety of engine brands and marine electronics.

MARINE MOTOR MECHANIC

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of verifiable work experience in marine mechanics.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical marine systems.
  • Experience with both inboard and outboard engines.
  • English proficiency: IELTS 5 in each band, or PTE: Listening 33, Reading 36, Writing 29, Speaking 24.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a marine service team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair inboard and outboard engines, including Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, Honda, Volvo Penta, and other major brands.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair marine electrical systems and electronics, including GPS, chartplotters, VHF radios, radar, and autopilot systems.
  • Perform full vessel rewires, battery system maintenance, and accessory installations.
  • Conduct water tests, pre-delivery inspections, and fault diagnostics.
  • Service rigging, steering systems, trim/tilt mechanisms, and fuel systems.
  • Work efficiently in boat dealerships, marinas, shipyards, or marine service workshops.
