Turbo Staff Limited is seeking experienced Machine Operators for civil construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will operate heavy construction equipment on infrastructure, drainage, and roading projects while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work in accordance with company and industry standards.

Machine Operator (Civil Construction)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience as a Machine Operator in civil construction.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Experience should be primarily in civil construction, not in earthworks or mining operations.
• Proven experience operating excavators (5T–30T), graders, loaders, bulldozers, rollers, and skid steers.
• Ability to work with trench shields for drainage, pipe laying, trenching, and backfilling activities.
• Proven track record of overseas employment with supporting documents, including:
  • Certificate of Employment (COE)
  • Employment Contract
  • Letter from Employer
  • Pay Slips
  • Company ID
  • Residence Permit, or equivalent employment records.
• Must possess a valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from the country of work or residence for more than five (5) years, where applicable.
• Very good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Preferably with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, equipment care, and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy civil construction machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, rollers, and skid steers.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, and material handling for civil infrastructure projects.
• Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 30T for various construction activities.
• Work safely around trench shields during drainage installation, pipe laying, trenching, and backfilling operations.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine operational checks on machinery.
• Report equipment defects, maintenance requirements, and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow project plans, site instructions, and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Work closely with supervisors and site personnel to meet project schedules and quality standards.
