Job Vacancy: Light Vehicle Mechanic

We are looking for Light Vehicle Mechanic with experience in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components, performing routine servicing and preventive maintenance, interpreting technical manuals and schematics, and using diagnostic tools and equipment, all while following safety compliant work practices.

Light Vehicle Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with engines and gearboxes
  • Trade qualifications such as Light Vehicle Mechanic or Motor Mechanic is preferred
  • Skilled in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing light vehicles
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair light vehicles and related systems
  • Perform engine and gearbox repairs, overhauls, and replacements
  • Carry out routine maintenance and preventive servicing
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system faults
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues accurately
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Keep workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures
