CAS Recruitment Ltd – Greek Branch is seeking experienced and reliable Laundry Attendants to join hotel and hospitality operations in Greece. The successful candidates will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding, storing, and maintaining linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabrics while ensuring high standards of cleanliness, quality control, safe chemical handling, and proper laundry operations.
LAUNDRY ATTENDANT
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a related laundry or hospitality position.
- Knowledge and practical ability in sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing laundry items.
- Ability to properly sort laundry by type, color, and fabric to determine the appropriate washing and handling method.
- Knowledge of operating washing machines, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to follow manufacturer instructions and established operating procedures when using laundry machinery.
- Competent in the proper use of detergents, bleach, fabric softeners, and other laundry chemicals.
- Knowledge of safe handling, storage, and disposal of laundry chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting laundry for stains, damage, defects, or special handling requirements.
- Ability to conduct quality checks and quality control according to established instructions and standards.
- Knowledge of quality management, inventory management, stock monitoring, and supply ordering.
- Ability to complete assigned forms, records, logs, and other laundry documentation accurately.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and directives from supervisors.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, hygienic, and safe laundry area.
- Good understanding of proper separation and handling of soiled and clean laundry.
- Ability to identify equipment problems and promptly report maintenance or repair requirements.
- Physically capable of bending, standing, walking, lifting, and working for extended periods.
- Willing and able to work in hot, noisy, and humid environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, organized, flexible, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Good English communication skills.
- Must have a newly renewed passport.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and properly store laundry items, including linens, towels, staff uniforms, and other fabrics.
- Sort laundry according to type, color, fabric, and required washing method to prevent damage and ensure proper cleaning.
- Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, tears, missing items, or special handling requirements before processing.
- Apply appropriate washing, drying, ironing, folding, and finishing procedures according to the type of fabric and item.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
- Measure and use detergents, bleach, fabric softeners, and other laundry chemicals in the correct quantities and according to established procedures.
- Handle laundry chemicals safely and follow proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles to ensure laundry is processed correctly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure cleaned and finished laundry meets the required standards.
- Rewash, treat, or otherwise process items that do not meet required cleanliness or quality standards.
- Properly fold, organize, label, and store clean laundry to prevent contamination, damage, or unnecessary wrinkling.
- Maintain accurate laundry forms, records, logs, and assigned documentation as required.
- Follow instructions and directives from supervisors and complete assigned laundry tasks within required schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and removing accumulated waste.
- Keep laundry equipment, workstations, storage areas, and surrounding facilities clean and organized.
- Conduct routine checks of laundry equipment and report malfunctioning or damaged washers, dryers, irons, or other machines to the supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining laundry equipment in good working condition and coordinate with maintenance personnel when repairs are required.
- Monitor stocks of detergent, fabric softener, bleach, laundry chemicals, and other supplies.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure sufficient laundry supplies are available for daily operations.
- Report low stock levels and assist with placing orders or requesting replenishment of laundry supplies when necessary.
- Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled laundry to prevent cross-contamination.
- Follow established quality management, quality control, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ensure laundry is handled, processed, stored, and delivered according to hotel or company standards.
- Work efficiently in hot, noisy, and humid environments associated with laundry operations.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, hotel departments, supervisors, and other staff regarding laundry requirements and service schedules.
- Demonstrate good teamwork and communication while maintaining a professional and cooperative attitude.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
- Follow assigned schedules, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Perform other laundry, housekeeping support, and related duties assigned by management.
Salary Package:
- Salary starts at Php 79,000.00 gross monthly more or less.
- 48 Work Hours per week.
- Accommodation will be provided.
- Nine (9) months contract per year, renewable up to 5 years.
