Peak Pacific Construction, LLC is offering an overseas employment opportunity for an experienced Landscape Gardener in Guam. The successful candidate will be responsible for landscaping, planting, and maintaining outdoor grounds, lawns, gardens, trees, and ornamental plants. Applicants should have hands-on experience in grounds maintenance, plant care, irrigation, pruning, and the safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment.

LANDSCAPE GARDENER

Qualifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate or hold a vocational or technical diploma.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience as a Landscape Gardener, Gardener, or Groundskeeper.
  • Hands-on experience in landscaping and general grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge of soil preparation, planting, transplanting, fertilising, watering, and plant care.
  • Experience maintaining lawns, laying sod, and caring for trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and ornamental plants.
  • Familiarity with pruning tools, landscaping equipment, and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of irrigation and drainage systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to assist with constructing and maintaining landscape features.
  • Understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform physical landscaping and groundskeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and grade soil and terrain for planting and landscaping projects.
  • Plant, transplant, cultivate, fertilise, and water trees, shrubs, flowers, grass, and ornamental plants.
  • Seed lawns, lay sod, and maintain landscaped areas to keep grounds healthy and presentable.
  • Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges using appropriate tools and safe work practices.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation and drainage systems.
  • Assist in constructing landscape features, including rock gardens, planters, fences, decks, and retaining walls.
  • Use hand tools and operate landscaping equipment according to assigned tasks, training, and safety procedures.
  • Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment, and report defects promptly.
  • Remove weeds, fallen branches, rubbish, and other waste materials from landscaped areas.
  • Maintain outdoor grounds, lawns, gardens, and ornamental plants to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Identify and report hazards, damaged equipment, and maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
