IT & Technician Manager
Qualifications:
- Must have good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Must be computer literate with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably with experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, electronics, office supplies, or a related industry.
- Must have a good employment history and demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision.
- Must be adaptable, hands-on, and capable of working independently or as part of a small team.
- Must be capable of handling reasonable responsibilities outside the immediate role when required.
- Good understanding of computers, hardware, software, networking, and general technical support.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common IT and technical problems.
- Ability to install, configure, maintain, and repair computer equipment and related devices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail when maintaining technical systems, equipment, and documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to employees and management.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, service providers, and other technical personnel.
- Must demonstrate initiative, dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude toward work.
- Must be physically fit and able to maintain consistent attendance and work performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day IT and technical operations of the company.
- Maintain and monitor computers, networks, printers, communication equipment, and other IT-related systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and technical equipment problems.
- Provide technical support and assistance to employees experiencing IT or equipment-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and update computer hardware and software as required.
- Monitor network connectivity and assist in resolving internet, networking, and communication issues.
- Maintain company IT systems and ensure equipment is properly configured and operational.
- Manage user accounts, system access, passwords, and basic IT security requirements as assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of computers, technical equipment, and related systems.
- Coordinate repairs, servicing, and maintenance of IT equipment and other technical assets.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software, technical issues, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor inventory of computers, peripherals, spare parts, and other technical supplies.
- Assist with procurement and replacement of IT equipment, software, and technical materials when required.
- Implement appropriate data backup and system recovery procedures in accordance with company requirements.
- Help protect company systems and data by following established security and access-control procedures.
- Provide basic training and guidance to employees on the proper use of computer systems, software, and equipment.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers, technicians, vendors, and suppliers when specialized support is required.
- Identify recurring technical problems and recommend practical solutions or improvements to management.
- Ensure IT and technical work is completed efficiently while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe technical work area.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and care of company IT equipment and technical assets.
- Prepare technical reports and updates for management regarding system issues, repairs, equipment requirements, and maintenance.
- Work hands-on with the team and handle reasonable responsibilities outside the immediate role when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
