Qualifications:
- Male applicants only, as specified by the employer.
- 45 years old and below.
- Previous overseas work experience (ex-abroad) is required.
- Relevant experience in heavy steel fabrication, structural steelwork, or metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of steel cutting, shaping, fitting, assembly, and fabrication procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, cutting equipment, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and maintain required fabrication tolerances.
- Knowledge of steel materials, structural components, and proper fitting techniques.
- Ability to prepare components for welding and assist with structural assembly.
- Knowledge of safe material handling, lifting procedures, and workshop practices.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a fabrication team.
- Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to comply with company policies, project requirements, and Saudi Arabian workplace regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare heavy steel plates, beams, pipes, and structural components.
- Fabricate steel structures and components according to approved measurements and project requirements.
- Operate cutting machines, grinders, drilling machines, and other metal fabrication equipment safely.
- Perform layout, marking, fitting, and positioning of steel materials before assembly.
- Assemble and fit steel components using appropriate tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
- Prepare steel edges and surfaces for welding and other fabrication processes.
- Assist welders by ensuring components are properly aligned, secured, and ready for welding.
- Perform tack fitting and assembly work according to approved fabrication procedures.
- Check dimensions, angles, alignment, and tolerances to ensure fabrication accuracy.
- Inspect fabricated components for visible defects, incorrect measurements, and assembly irregularities.
- Use measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers as required.
- Handle and position heavy steel materials using appropriate lifting equipment and approved procedures.
- Coordinate with welders, riggers, machine operators, supervisors, and other fabrication personnel.
- Follow fabrication drawings, work instructions, production schedules, and quality control requirements.
- Maintain tools, machinery, and workstations in clean and serviceable condition.
- Identify defective materials, equipment problems, and fabrication errors and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when cutting, grinding, lifting, handling, and assembling steel.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and observe workshop safety requirements.
- Maintain an organized work area and minimize material waste.
- Complete assigned fabrication tasks within the required production schedule.
- Perform other steel fabrication and workshop duties assigned by management.
