BA Industries Pte Limited is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Heavy Equipment Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and servicing of heavy agricultural and industrial machinery in Fiji. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in machinery maintenance, strong supervisory skills, and solid technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and agricultural equipment.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the maintenance of heavy agricultural or industrial machinery, including supervisory experience.
• Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and agricultural equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance personnel effectively.
• Safety-conscious, organized, dependable, and able to work in a demanding industrial or agricultural environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, repair, servicing, and inspection of heavy agricultural and industrial machinery.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
• Diagnose mechanical problems involving diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other heavy equipment components.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Inspect machinery and identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues requiring attention.
• Guide and supervise mechanics, technicians, and other maintenance personnel in carrying out repair and servicing work.
• Ensure maintenance procedures are performed according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Monitor the condition and performance of agricultural equipment and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, spare parts, and equipment history.
• Coordinate the availability of tools, spare parts, materials, and resources required for maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and proper equipment handling practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel when resolving complex equipment problems.
• Perform other supervisory and maintenance duties assigned by management.
