HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (FORKLIFT)

Qualifications:

• Maximum age: 50 years old.
• TESDA NC-II in Forklift Operation is required.
• Preferably 5+ years of relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry, either local or abroad.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in industrial, construction, Oil & Gas, warehouse, or similar work environments.
• Strong knowledge of safe forklift operation and material-handling procedures.
• Able to safely lift, transport, load, unload, stack, and position various types of materials.
• Able to assess load stability, weight, dimensions, and proper positioning before operation.
• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures, workplace hazards, and traffic management.
• Able to perform daily pre-operation inspections and identify equipment defects.
• Familiar with basic forklift care, cleaning, and operator-level maintenance.
• Safety-conscious and committed to following strict workplace and site safety requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of performing material-handling activities.
• Able to work in demanding industrial and construction site environments.
• Willing to follow site-specific safety rules, procedures, and supervisor instructions.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Reliable, disciplined, responsible, and hardworking.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, lifting, transporting, and positioning materials.
• Inspect the forklift before each shift to ensure it is in safe and proper working condition.
• Check tires, forks, hydraulics, brakes, steering, controls, warning devices, and other components before operation.
• Safely move materials, tools, equipment, containers, and supplies within designated work areas.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, storage areas, and designated delivery points.
• Stack and organize materials in designated locations according to instructions.
• Ensure proper positioning and secure handling of loads during transportation.
• Assess load weight, dimensions, stability, and placement before lifting or moving materials.
• Follow safe operating procedures when working around personnel, vehicles, structures, and other equipment.
• Maintain awareness of overhead obstructions, uneven surfaces, restricted areas, and other workplace hazards.
• Operate forklifts according to manufacturer instructions and site-specific requirements.
• Follow designated traffic routes, speed limits, signaling procedures, and site rules.
• Use appropriate lifting and handling techniques to prevent damage to materials and equipment.
• Report damaged materials, unstable loads, equipment defects, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Perform basic forklift cleaning, routine checks, and operator-level maintenance as required.
• Immediately report mechanical or hydraulic problems requiring specialized repair.
• Maintain proper housekeeping around loading, unloading, and storage areas.
• Assist with general material-handling activities when required.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel, logistics staff, equipment operators, and supervisors.
• Follow Oil & Gas or industrial site safety procedures when working in applicable environments.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site orientations as required.
• Maintain accurate equipment inspection and operational records when required.
• Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and project procedures.
• Perform other forklift operation and material-handling duties assigned by management.
