Crane Operator

Qualifications:

  • Qualified, licensed, and experienced in operating mobile and/or crawler cranes.
  • Strong knowledge of crane operation, load charts, lifting procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer operating guidelines, local regulations, and project lifting requirements.
  • Ability to interpret lift plans and coordinate effectively with rigging teams.
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety and hazard identification.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction and industrial environments.
  • Committed to safe operations, equipment care, and quality performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile and/or crawler cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials and equipment.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and routine checks to ensure cranes are in safe working condition.
  • Read and follow lift plans, load charts, and project lifting procedures.
  • Coordinate with riggers, signalers, supervisors, and other team members during lifting operations.
  • Ensure loads are lifted, transported, and positioned safely without exceeding crane capacity.
  • Monitor crane performance and report mechanical issues or defects immediately.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inspection and operational records.
  • Follow manufacturer operating guidelines, local regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned crane equipment.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and risk assessments as required.
