Dreamscapes Ltd. is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified Filipino workers interested in working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Bermuda. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and small engines used in construction and related operations.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Preferably 45 years old or younger.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Must be trained, certified, and proficient in small engine repairs.
• Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment, including excavators, skid loaders, wheel loaders, concrete boom pumps, forklifts, and heavy trucks.
• Experience planning and maintaining fleet maintenance schedules and service records.
• Ability to perform basic welding and equipment repair tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, mechanical systems, and safe equipment servicing practices.
• Good organizational skills for coordinating maintenance schedules, repair priorities, and equipment availability.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to urgent maintenance requirements.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as operational needs require.
• Must be willing to take the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or DET (Duolingo English Test) as required.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, machinery, and company vehicles.
• Service and troubleshoot excavators, skid loaders, wheel loaders, concrete boom pumps, forklifts, and heavy trucks.
• Perform small engine repairs, including diagnosing mechanical faults and replacing or repairing defective components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, routine servicing, oil changes, lubrication, and component inspections.
• Develop, update, and maintain fleet maintenance charts, schedules, service records, and repair documentation.
• Monitor equipment condition and identify potential mechanical problems before they cause operational downtime.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks to support equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and other equipment-related systems within the scope of technical expertise.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and ensure repairs meet operational and safety requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities to keep company equipment reliable, safe, and available for project operations.
• Maintain an adequate record of maintenance activities, parts used, repairs completed, and upcoming service requirements.
• Ensure workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and work areas are maintained in good condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Provide occasional evening and weekend maintenance services when required by operational conditions.
