CAS Recruitment Ltd – Greek Branch is seeking physically fit and reliable General Laborers for an overseas employment opportunity in Greece.
The successful candidate will assist construction crews with road construction, civil works, site preparation, material handling, and general construction activities. The role involves manual labor, handling construction materials and equipment, maintaining work areas, and following instructions from supervisors and skilled workers.
GENERAL LABORER (Road Construction)
Qualifications:
- At least a High School graduate.
- Previous experience in road construction, civil works, or general construction is an advantage but not required.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment safely.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and project-based assignments as needed.
- Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Reliable, hardworking, punctual, and physically capable of performing construction work.
- English communication skills are a must.
- Must have a newly renewed passport.
Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled workers, operators, and construction crews with daily road construction activities.
- Perform general manual labor at road and civil construction project sites.
- Load, unload, carry, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with site preparation, clearing, cleaning, and other construction activities.
- Help prepare work areas before construction operations begin.
- Assist with handling materials such as soil, gravel, sand, concrete, and other construction supplies.
- Use basic construction hand tools and equipment when instructed.
- Support road construction crews during excavation, grading, paving, drainage, and related activities.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Remove debris, waste materials, and other obstacles from construction sites.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled construction workers.
- Assist with traffic and worksite safety procedures where required.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow workplace health and safety rules and safe manual-handling practices.
- Report unsafe conditions, hazards, damaged tools, or equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with other laborers and construction personnel.
- Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Work overtime, weekends, or project-based assignments when required.
- Perform other general construction duties assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Package:
- Salary starts at € 800 gross monthly.
- Forty-two (40) working hours / Six (5) days a week.
- Accommodation will be provided.
- Contract duration is for 1 year.
