GENERAL ELECTRICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Vocational or technical training in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is preferred.
• Previous experience as an Electrician or in electrical installation and maintenance is required.
• Knowledgeable in electrical wiring, circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting systems, breakers, and related electrical components.
• Basic ability to inspect, troubleshoot, test, repair, and replace electrical components.
• Ability to safely use electrical hand tools and testing instruments.
• Able to read and follow basic electrical diagrams, wiring layouts, and technical instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on electrical work in different working environments.
• Willing and able to work at heights when required, while following appropriate safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to electrical safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance or technical team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and lighting systems.
• Inspect electrical circuits, panels, wiring, equipment, and installations to identify faults, defects, and potential hazards.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment to determine the cause of electrical problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related installations.
• Replace damaged or defective wires, cables, breakers, switches, outlets, lighting components, and other electrical parts.
• Install and connect electrical components according to approved plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Test electrical circuits, connections, fixtures, and equipment after installation or repair.
• Use appropriate electrical testing instruments and hand tools safely and correctly.
• Check electrical panels, breakers, switches, and distribution components for proper operation.
• Identify loose connections, damaged wiring, overloaded circuits, and other electrical safety concerns.
• Assist with electrical installations and maintenance during construction, production, facility, or workshop activities as required.
• Read and follow basic electrical diagrams, wiring layouts, instructions, and technical specifications.
• Maintain proper labeling and organization of electrical wiring, panels, circuits, and components.
• Keep electrical tools, equipment, work areas, and installations clean and organized.
• Report major electrical faults, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and repair requirements to the supervisor.
• Follow company electrical procedures, workplace health and safety regulations, and applicable safety standards.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing electrical work.
• Work safely in different environments and at heights when required.
• Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance personnel, technicians, and other workers to complete electrical tasks efficiently.
• Perform other electrical installation, maintenance, and repair duties assigned by management.
