FIRE ALARM TECHNICIAN
Qualifications:
- Filipino male, preferably not more than 48 years old.
- At least 3–5 years of overseas work experience in the relevant Fire Alarm Technician position.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate previous work experience and technical skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of fire alarm and fire detection system installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and fire alarm system layouts.
- Knowledge of fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, notification devices, modules, and related components.
- Skilled in cable installation, wiring, termination, testing, and fault finding.
- Experience using electrical testing instruments, hand tools, power tools, and fire alarm testing equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to prepare accurate service reports, inspection records, and testing documentation.
- Physically fit and capable of performing technical installation and maintenance work.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to comply with company and site requirements.
- Resume must include specific details of duties, responsibilities, equipment, tools, and scope of work performed.
- Must have verifiable employment experience and credible references.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm and fire detection systems.
- Read and interpret fire alarm system drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Install fire alarm control panels, detectors, manual call points, sounders, strobes, modules, and related devices.
- Install and terminate cables, wiring, conduits, and other components associated with fire alarm systems.
- Perform testing and commissioning of newly installed fire alarm systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of fire alarm and detection equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, wiring, communication, and system faults.
- Test smoke detectors, heat detectors, alarms, notification devices, and other system components.
- Identify faulty or damaged components and carry out appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Verify system functionality and ensure equipment operates according to required specifications.
- Perform system programming, configuration, and adjustments when required.
- Conduct alarm and fault testing and document test results and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with electricians, engineers, builders, sprinkler fitters, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Follow approved installation procedures, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
- Use electrical testing instruments, hand tools, power tools, and specialized fire alarm equipment safely.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Report system faults, equipment problems, material requirements, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, test results, and other required documentation.
- Complete assigned installation, testing, and maintenance work efficiently and accurately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
