Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Finishing Carpenter to perform high-quality internal carpentry and joinery works for construction projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing doors, fitted furniture, kitchen units, decorative finishes, and other timber works while ensuring excellent craftsmanship, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
FINISHING CARPENTER
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Carpenter, Joiner, or similar role.
- Strong experience in internal carpentry, joinery installation, and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications.
- Competent in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve site issues.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
Responsibilities:
- Install internal doors, door frames, architraves, and ironmongery, including handles, locks, hinges, door closers, and related hardware.
- Fit skirting boards, dado rails, decorative mouldings, and internal timber finishes.
- Install fitted furniture, wardrobes, cabinets, shelving, and other bespoke joinery items.
- Fit kitchen units, worktops, and associated carpentry components.
- Install window boards and complete internal timber finishing works.
- Perform finishing, adjustments, and snagging works to achieve high standards of appearance and quality.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical plans.
- Inspect completed works and rectify defects or installation issues when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Coordinate with site managers, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress.
- Assist with other site duties as required.
