Dreamscapes Ltd. is offering an overseas employment opportunity for qualified Filipino workers interested in working as a Finishing Carpenter in Bermuda. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and finishing woodwork for residential construction and landscaping projects.

Finishing Carpenter

Qualifications:

• Preferably 45 years old or younger.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in a residential construction firm or a landscaping design-and-build company specializing in hardscaping services.
• Strong practical knowledge of finish carpentry, wood fabrication, installation, and finishing techniques.
• Experience installing doors, baseboards, crown molding, cabinetry, and built-in shelving.
• Experience constructing or installing fences, gates, pergolas, gazebos, and similar outdoor structures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
• Proficiency in using carpentry tools, equipment, and finishing materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a construction team.
• Must be willing to take the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or DET (Duolingo English Test) as required.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, fabricate, assemble, and install wood components according to project specifications and construction drawings.
• Install and finish doors, door frames, baseboards, crown molding, cabinetry, and built-in shelving.
• Construct, install, and repair wooden fences, gates, pergolas, gazebos, and other outdoor structures.
• Perform detailed finishing work, including sanding, filling, caulking, and preparing surfaces for painting, staining, or sealing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
• Select suitable wood, hardware, fasteners, and finishing materials for each project.
• Operate carpentry tools and equipment safely, including saws, drills, routers, sanders, and measuring instruments.
• Ensure installations are level, aligned, secure, durable, and finished to professional standards.
• Inspect completed work and carry out adjustments or repairs when necessary.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow workplace safety procedures.
