Carpenter Retail and Property Limited is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for deployment to Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of lodging and facility services, ensuring efficient property operations, excellent guest satisfaction, compliance with safety standards, and effective management of maintenance, housekeeping, security, and facility personnel.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in facilities management, hospitality management, property management, or a related field.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related discipline.
- Qualifications in facilities management, property management, business studies, or management are an advantage.
- At least five (5) years of managerial experience is preferred.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Strong management and hospitality skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of budgeting, expense control, and operational management.
- Experience in supervising maintenance, housekeeping, security, and facility operations is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of lodging facilities and accommodation services.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall property appearance.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping, maintenance, and support staff.
- Coordinate room reservations, occupancy schedules, and room assignments.
- Handle guest complaints, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets and control expenses effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company regulations.
- Coordinate with various departments to improve operational efficiency and guest experience.
- Prepare reports on occupancy, revenue, expenses, and facility performance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Maintain inventories of supplies, equipment, furniture, and facility assets.
- Oversee the cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and common areas.
- Monitor security operations to ensure effective protection of company assets and occupants.
- Promote workplace safety and minimize exposure to hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Hire, supervise, and coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Oversee space allocation and utilization within buildings and facilities. - Analyze operational and maintenance costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Review operational expenditures and recommend budget adjustments when necessary.
- Ensure facilities remain compliant with applicable regulations, building standards, and company requirements.
- Utilize property management software and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and record management.
