GS Neotek is seeking qualified and experienced Electrical Workers / Linemen for an overseas work opportunity in Taiwan. The successful candidates will perform electrical and transmission line work, including installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of overhead electrical systems while following safety and technical standards.
ELECTRICAL WORKER (LINEMAN)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical transmission line work.
- Proven experience in transmission line construction, installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Practical knowledge of overhead electrical transmission systems and related components.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in outdoor construction environments.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding electrical line work.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, climbing equipment, and line-maintenance tools.
- Strong awareness of electrical hazards and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and supervisor directions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong attention to safety and quality workmanship.
- Age requirement: 42 years old and below.
- Willing to work outdoors and under varying weather conditions.
- Willing to follow company policies, electrical safety standards, and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical transmission lines and related infrastructure.
- Assist with the construction and installation of overhead transmission line systems.
- Install and maintain electrical conductors, cables, poles, towers, insulators, and related line components.
- Perform transmission line maintenance and repair activities according to technical specifications.
- Inspect electrical line components for damage, wear, defects, or unsafe conditions.
- Assist in identifying and correcting faults in transmission line systems.
- Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, climbing equipment, and electrical line equipment safely.
- Perform line work at elevated locations using approved climbing and fall-protection equipment.
- Assist with the installation, replacement, and adjustment of transmission line hardware and electrical components.
- Follow electrical diagrams, work instructions, technical specifications, and supervisor directions.
- Maintain proper spacing, alignment, tension, and installation of electrical conductors where applicable.
- Assist with cable pulling, stringing, sagging, and related transmission line construction activities.
- Follow proper procedures for working around energized or potentially energized electrical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and electrical hazards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow electrical and workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other linemen, electricians, supervisors, and construction personnel during line projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Complete assigned transmission line installation, maintenance, and repair tasks efficiently and safely.
- Perform other electrical and lineman duties assigned by management.
