DRAINLAYER
Qualifications:
- Filipino male, preferably not more than 48 years old.
- At least 3–5 years of overseas work experience in the relevant Drainlayer position.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate previous work experience and technical skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of drainage, sewer, stormwater, wastewater, and underground pipe installation.
- Ability to read and interpret drainage plans, drawings, site layouts, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in measuring, setting out, cutting, laying, joining, and installing drainage pipes and fittings.
- Knowledge of pipe gradients, levels, alignment, connections, manholes, drainage pits, and inspection chambers.
- Experience with excavation, trench preparation, backfilling, and ground reinstatement.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and drainage-related machinery.
- Good understanding of underground work hazards and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding outdoor and construction-related work.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to comply with company and site requirements.
- Resume must include specific details of duties, responsibilities, equipment, tools, and scope of work performed.
- Must have verifiable employment experience and credible references.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, maintain, and connect drainage and wastewater systems according to approved plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret drainage plans, drawings, site layouts, and technical specifications.
- Set out drainage systems and determine appropriate pipe locations, levels, gradients, and alignments.
- Excavate trenches and prepare ground conditions for drainage pipe installation.
- Measure, cut, prepare, and install drainage pipes and fittings.
- Lay and connect stormwater, wastewater, sewer, and other underground drainage systems.
- Install inspection chambers, manholes, drainage pits, catch basins, and related components.
- Ensure pipes are correctly aligned, graded, supported, and securely connected.
- Install appropriate pipe joints, seals, fittings, and connections to prevent leaks.
- Perform drainage system testing and inspections to identify blockages, leaks, or installation defects.
- Repair damaged or defective drainage pipes and components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, compactors, and other drainage-related equipment safely.
- Assist with excavation, backfilling, compacting, and site reinstatement activities.
- Coordinate with excavator operators, plumbers, builders, civil workers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Inspect completed drainage work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Identify and report underground service hazards, site issues, material shortages, equipment faults, or safety concerns.
- Maintain drainage tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation when required.
- Complete assigned drainage work efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and workmanship.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
