COOK / CHEF

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Cook or Chef (with at least 3 years within the last 5 years)
• Relevant cookery qualification
• English proficiency (IELTS equivalent of 5 or secondary education English exemption)
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations
• Willingness to work in a remote farm environment
• Flexible with working hours including early mornings and weekends
• Physically fit to handle the demands of commercial kitchen work
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for farm staff in a timely and efficient manner
• Manage bulk meal preparation for varying workforce numbers
• Develop menus that meet dietary requirements and nutritional standards
• Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and control food costs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen facilities
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards
• Operate independently in a remote work environment
• Adapt to early starts, weekend work, and physically demanding tasks
