Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or catering environment is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting vegetables, fruits, and meats according to recipe specifications.
- Set up and clean workstations (mise-en-place) before and after food preparation.
- Clean workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Follow proper food storage practices and assist in waste management procedures.
- Support the daily, high-volume production of dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Assist in plating and basic food assembly as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards strictly.
