Commis De Sala (Waiter/Waitress)

Qualifications:

  • Male or female applicants are welcome.
  • Preferably 21–35 years old, subject to the employer’s requirements and applicable regulations.
  • At least a high school graduate; hospitality-related education or training is an advantage.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Commis de Sala, Waiter/Waitress, or Restaurant Service Attendant in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or resort is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures, table setting, and dining etiquette.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
  • Well-groomed, courteous, hardworking, and customer-service-oriented.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to work in Italy for the duration of the employment contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and arrange tables, chairs, cutlery, glassware, napkins, and other dining essentials according to restaurant standards.
  • Welcome guests courteously and assist them with seating when required.
  • Support senior waiters and restaurant service staff during meal service.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, following established service procedures.
  • Assist with taking orders and communicating guest requests to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset promptly after guests finish dining.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, service stations, and restaurant equipment.
  • Replenish table supplies and service items as needed.
  • Respond politely to guest requests and refer complaints or special concerns to the supervisor.
  • Follow food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other service team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the restaurant or food and beverage supervisor.
