Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Commis Chef.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management, Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a 4-star or 5-star hotel is required.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service according to standardized recipes and hotel quality standards.
• Prepare mise en place and ensure cooking stations are fully organized before service.
• Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare, cook, and present menu items under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Properly store and label food items to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist in monitoring inventory and reporting shortages or damaged supplies.
• Follow all kitchen procedures, health and safety regulations, and instructions from supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and service teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
