COMMIS 1 (HEAD CHEF)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen or fine dining environment (1–5 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
- Familiarity with HACCP food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and organize workstations (mise-en-place) before service.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen at all times.
- Follow HACCP food safety standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing kitchen operations during high-volume production.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food ingredients.
- Work closely with senior chefs and support overall kitchen efficiency.
- Monitor food quality and consistency before service.
