People Inc. is seeking experienced Carpet Flooring Installers to perform professional carpet and flooring installation works for residential, commercial, and industrial projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality workmanship, accurate measurements, and safe installation practices.

Carpet Flooring Installer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the same field.
  • Must have good English communication skills.
  • With relevant hands-on experience for the position applied for.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of carpet and flooring installation techniques and materials.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and install carpets and flooring materials according to project specifications.
  • Prepare floor surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and removing old flooring materials when necessary.
  • Install underlays, adhesives, and finishing trims to ensure proper flooring application.
  • Read and interpret layout plans and installation instructions.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Repair or replace damaged carpet and flooring materials as required.
  • Operate installation tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
  • Follow workplace safety standards and company procedures at all times.
