TIMBER MACHINIST
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of timber machining and woodworking processes.
- Experience operating timber-processing or woodworking machinery is preferred.
- Ability to work accurately with measurements and production specifications.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and technical instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in an overseas employment environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate timber and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up and adjust machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish timber and other wood materials accurately.
- Read and follow technical drawings, measurements, work instructions, and production specifications.
- Inspect timber products to ensure correct dimensions, quality, and finish.
- Perform routine machine checks and report mechanical or operational problems.
- Carry out basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Select and use appropriate cutting tools and equipment for different timber products.
- Maintain consistent production quality and minimize material waste.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work effectively with other production and workshop personnel.
