CARPENTER

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing wooden structures and fixtures. Your work will be essential to ensuring high-quality builds that meet Australian safety and design standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
• Skilled in constructing and installing structures such as formworks, wall and ceiling frames, flooring systems, partitions, eaves, roof trusses and roofing.
• Experienced in installing windows and doors with hardware fittings and performing repair and renovation of wooden structures, including replacing damaged or deteriorated timber.
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

•  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber or wood-based materials for construction projects
• Install frameworks, structures, flooring, doors, windows, and cabinetry
• Operate carpentry tools such as saws, planers, drills, and nail guns safely and effectively
• Repair and maintain existing wooden fixtures and fittings
• Ensure work meets building codes and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time and to standard
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to workplace safety protocols
