Turbo Staff Limited is seeking experienced Civil Concrete Carpenters to join its infrastructure construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing formwork, installing reinforcing steel, and completing concrete works for major civil structures while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.

Carpenter (Civil Concrete)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience as a Carpenter in civil concrete construction.
• At least a High School Graduate.
• Must have experience in kerb and channel works and benching for manholes.
• Proven experience in constructing formwork and installing reinforcing steel for civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and set out work accurately.
• Proven track record of overseas employment with supporting documents, including:
  • Certificate of Employment (COE)
  • Employment Contract
  • Letter from Employer
  • Pay Slips
  • Company ID
  • Residence Permit, or equivalent employment records.
• Must possess a valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from the country of work or residence for more than five (5) years, where applicable.
• Very good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Preferably with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work in a team-oriented construction environment.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and install formwork for civil infrastructure projects such as bridges, retaining walls, culverts, kerb and channel, and other concrete structures.
• Install and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform kerb and channel works, including benching for manholes and related concrete finishing tasks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and site specifications accurately.
• Set out work areas and ensure accurate measurements and alignment of structures.
• Ensure all formwork and reinforcement installations meet quality, safety, and structural standards.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and civil construction teams.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Report site issues, material needs, and construction progress to supervisors.
