Telemu No. 16 Limited is seeking a qualified Building Engineer to oversee building operations, maintenance activities, and engineering services in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of building systems, facilities, and equipment while supporting preventive maintenance and improvement projects.

BUILDING ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in building engineering, facilities management, property maintenance, or building operations.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use properties is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and engineering practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage maintenance activities.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor building engineering systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of building structures, equipment, and operational systems.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure building facilities comply with safety regulations, engineering standards, and company requirements.
• Review maintenance reports, service records, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and service providers for repair and maintenance works.
• Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and engineering upgrades.
• Monitor the performance and condition of building systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and asset conditions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies.
• Perform other engineering and facilities management duties as assigned.
