BARISTA

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional work experience as a Barista or in a related food and beverage service position.
• Proven experience in coffee preparation and demonstrated barista skills.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee grinding, milk steaming, frothing, and beverage presentation.
• Familiarity with operating coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to take orders accurately and interact professionally with customers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality and consistency.
• Knowledge of food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation, and safe beverage preparation.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the café or beverage service area.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
• Good teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Responsible, reliable, customer-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Physically fit to perform routine barista duties, including standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other hot and cold beverages according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Grind coffee beans, measure ingredients, and adjust preparation methods to ensure consistent beverage quality.
• Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, and other coffee-based beverages according to customer orders.
• Prepare and serve other beverages, including tea, iced coffee, and specialty drinks, as required by the menu.
• Steam and froth milk and prepare beverage toppings or garnishes according to established standards.
• Ensure beverages are served at the correct temperature with proper presentation and portion sizes.
• Take customer orders accurately and respond to customer requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of the beverage menu, ingredients, preparation methods, and available options.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other beverage supplies.
• Report stock shortages, damaged supplies, and equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory monitoring, replenishment, and proper storage of café supplies.
• Clean and sanitize coffee machines, grinders, utensils, counters, and beverage preparation areas.
• Follow food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic service counter and work area.
• Handle customer payments and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system when assigned.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth and timely service during busy periods.
