HAIRDRESSER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Must be at least a High School Graduate.
- Female applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience in professional hairdressing, salon services, beauty care, or a related field.
- Skilled in cutting, trimming, shaping, and styling hair using scissors, razors, clippers, and other professional tools.
- Knowledge and experience in hair coloring, including highlights and lowlights.
- Experience with specialized treatments such as keratin treatments, hair extensions, and scalp treatments is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of different hair types, hair-care techniques, and scalp-care practices.
- Ability to recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and hair-care products to clients.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, patient, professional, and customer-oriented approach.
- Good hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to safely handle hairdressing tools, equipment, and chemical products.
- Creative and updated with current hair styling trends and techniques.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and able to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their preferred hairstyles, treatments, and desired results.
- Cut, trim, shape, and style hair using scissors, razors, clippers, and other professional hairdressing tools.
- Perform haircuts and styling services according to current trends and individual client preferences.
- Apply hair color, highlights, lowlights, and other coloring techniques accurately and safely.
- Perform specialized hair treatments such as keratin treatments, hair extensions, and scalp treatments as required.
- Assess clients’ hair and scalp condition before recommending appropriate treatments.
- Advise clients on suitable hairstyles based on hair type, condition, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Recommend appropriate hair-care products and explain proper usage and maintenance.
- Provide guidance on hair maintenance, scalp care, and healthy hair practices.
- Prepare and organize tools, equipment, products, and workstations before and after services.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of hairdressing tools, equipment, chairs, and work areas.
- Follow proper hygiene and safety procedures when handling hair products, chemicals, and equipment.
- Perform services carefully to minimize damage to the hair and scalp.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of hairdressing techniques, products, and current styling trends.
- Monitor clients during treatments and respond appropriately to any discomfort or concerns.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude when interacting with clients.
- Handle hairdressing equipment and products responsibly to prevent accidents and unnecessary waste.
- Ensure the salon or assigned work area remains clean, organized, and presentable.
- Perform other hairdressing and client-service duties assigned by management.
