Retail Store Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Male or Female, preferably 24–40 years old.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader position.
  • Experience in any of the following is an advantage:
    • Supermarkets
    • Department stores
    • Fashion retail
    • Convenience stores
    • Entertainment retail
    • Shopping malls
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
  • Proficient in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and capable of motivating and developing team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
  • Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods during store operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily retail store operations.
  • Lead, motivate, and monitor store staff to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Assist in preparing staff schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
  • Train and coach new and existing team members on store procedures and customer service standards.
  • Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, labeled, and merchandised.
  • Maintain attractive and organized product displays in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and stock movement.
  • Conduct or assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, handling, and organization of merchandise.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
  • Operate and supervise the proper use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with cash control, refund, exchange, and payment procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Resolve customer service issues and escalate complex concerns to management when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the store.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, health and safety standards, and security requirements.
  • Identify operational problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare or assist with daily operational, sales, inventory, and staff reports.
  • Coordinate with the Store Manager and other departments regarding operational requirements.
  • Support promotional activities, sales campaigns, and special events.
  • Help maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused working environment.
  • Perform other duties related to retail store operations as assigned.
